2019 sees some big changes for Gluts & Gluttony. Rather than a few ad hoc supper clubs at different locations as and when the whim takes me, I will be hosting a regular, monthly Cotswolds supper club in Chipping Norton.

(I KNOW! A regular pop up! At the same venue EVERY MONTH! It’s been so long in the planning and it’s all a bit – a LOT – terrifying, but I’m really delighted, finally, to invite you to 10 (TEN!) supper clubs in 2019.)

HOW IT WORKS

On the last Friday of every month, give or take, I will be popping up in the historic market town of Chipping Norton at 24 High St (which, by day, is The Tea Set Cafe).

Here are the dates for 2019:

 

Every month I’ll serve a 4-course seasonal feast to celebrate the very finest harvests from my veg patch.

If you’ve never been to a supper club before, the idea is that everyone arrives at the same time and eats the same menu – more like a big dinner party than a restaurant. I’ll talk a bit about the food before we eat too – how it’s grown and cooked – so you’ll leave well fed and a bit cleverer too.

Tickets are £50 and include a welcome cocktail. After that it’s BYO.

ON THE NIGHT

Guests will be welcomed with a seasonal cocktail and nibbles at 7:30pm.

At around 8ish, we’ll sit down at the communal table to a feast piled high on sharing platters in the middle of the table and full of vibrant colours and flavours. (If you’ve booked as a group you’ll be sat together on the communal table – just the right balance of new folk and pals.)

THE MENU

It’s not vegetarian, but veg tend to take centre stage, supported by the fabulous seasonal produce from makers, growers and farmers here in the Cotswolds.

The menu will be announced a few weeks before each supper club, mainly because it’s totally dependant on what grows in the patch. You’ll be able to see the menu on the online booking pages.
