The heating is on, the summer gardening gloves have been swapped for thicker ones and I’ve started talking encouragingly to the just-formed Brussels sprouts. Yup, it’s Autumn. But we will not hibernate away and binge watch Strictly. Oh no, for there is a harvest to celebrate. A spectacular, bountiful harvest of autumn fruit, leafy greens and crisp chicory.
And I’m delighted to be welcoming Autumn in by hosting another supper club in partnership with Waitrose. If you came to the first one in Spring, you’ll know it was an absolute hoot, with lots of lovely wine and I didn’t make you sit in the aisles to eat (they have a very swanky cafe).
WAITROSE SUPPER CLUB
It’s on Thursday 25th October 6-9pm in the cafe at the new Banbury Waitrose. I’ll be using seasonal and local harvests from Waitrose to cook an Autumn feast full of veg and colour.
WINES TO MATCH
Alongside the menu (and included in the ticket price, obvs) will be perfectly matched wines, hand selected by Waitrose Wine team.
HOW IT WORKS
As with all G&G supper clubs, you’ll sit down at a communal table to sharing plates piled high with seasonal deliciousness. I’ll talk about the food and wine during the meal so you’ll leave full, merry and a bit cleverer too.
Tickets are £50 including wine and a recipe ebook which I’ll be sending to guests after the event featuring all the recipes from that night’s menu so you can recreate everything at home as well.
